It was the 1975 World Cup final and Australia were chasing the West Indies total of 292 when Greg Chappell saw fit to take advantage of a Gordon Greenidge fumble and take a single. He did not count on the athletic Viv Richards being close at hand to gather the loose ball and score with a direct hit. That dismissal made it a hat-trick of run-outs for the legendary all-rounder, cleaning out the Australian top order, and any hope they had of taking the trophy.
