In 1963 Tottenham won the Cup-Winners Cup to become the first British club to win a European trophy, and two years later West Ham repeated the feat. The picture here emphasises how legendary their triumph at Wembley in 1965 has become - either side of skipper Bobby Moore stand Martin Peters and Geoff Hurst, the trio whose captaincy and goals would win England the World Cup a year later at the same venue.
