Our Group Procurement department (which is primarily based at Hook) is responsible for leading and supporting the continuous, thorough, professional and transparent reviews of the various spends we have across the Company. We engage with senior management and stakeholders across the business to support/lead the sourcing, review and supplier selection for our spends.

This encompasses set top boxes and customer/home products, network services, corporate/infrastructure services, professional services, IT & technology, telecoms, marketing, facilities management and a wide range of other goods and services.

Procurement is an infinite process with constant opportunities for commercial and service improvements. We look to our suppliers to proactively drive for improved value for money relationships, risk mitigation and transparency in our dealings.

We are very proud to say that Virgin Media Group Procurement has been awarded the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) silver accreditation (in 2004 and again in 2007). We were audited on topics such as contract management, engagement with the business and supplier management. The award from the CIPS is a badge of honour for Virgin Media and a real achievement for the Procurement team as there are only 77 other companies in the world to have received CIPS accreditation.
