Our CIPS award
The Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) is the leading body representing the field of purchasing and supply chain management and its certification programme is an established benchmark of excellence in organisational procurement competence.

We are very proud to say that Virgin Media Group Procurement has been awarded the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) silver accreditation. We were initially awarded it in 2004 and have gained it again in the 2007 reaccreditation. We were audited on topics such as contract management; engagement with the business and supplier management.
The award from the CIPS is a badge of honour for Virgin Media and a real achievement for the Procurement team as there are only 77 other companies in the world to have received CIPS accreditation.
We’re also actively involved in CPL (CIPS Centre for Procurement Leadership). This involves us attending seminars on industry best practice and leading thinking and also means we participate in benchmarking surveys.
