Your oasis of calm in a hectic day
The EU has given up its plan to force Britain to go metric. Britons can carry on using imperial measurements such as pints, pounds and miles. Is this a victory for British tradition or is it time the country conformed with Europe? With imperial measurements abandoned in school lessons decades ago is a metric Britain inevitable?
