Jude Law says sorry for Alfie

Sitting alongside Michael Caine, the star of the original Alfie, at the Venice Film Festival, Jude Law admitted that the modern version was a total turkey. Hopefully his new remake of a Michael Caine flick, Sleuth, will fare a bit better but history isn't on his side. The remake of The Italian Job hardly excited the critics either. Do remakes ever work?
