It's eco-tastic
All things are relative where airline fuel emissions are concerned, but the 787 will be kinder to the environment than many a jet airliner. Why? Its fuel efficiency is far superior to older aircraft, so Boeing claim it'll burn around 20 percent less fuel for comparable journeys than similarly-sized existing planes.
