One of South Africa's largest game reserves, Madikwe is home to 66 mammal species including the Big Five plus around 300 resident and migrant bird species.
However, wildlife is wild for a reason so if you don't see the big five, it's not the fault of your driver/guide. Leopards are incredibly speedy, so if all you see is a blur, you're lucky. Another tip is to visit in the dry season - many lodges have watering holes which attract the wildlife, making them easier to observe.
