Lavish interiors of the Palace of Caserta provided the backdrop for many scenes in the second Star Wars trilogy. This regal location saw all manner of battle scenes, although for some of the most action-packed moments, like the climactic battle involving intergalactic troublemaker Darth Maul (above), special effects were used to put the actors into separate shots filmed at the location.
