Given that sunsets generally happen in the west, you get to see some great ones just about anywhere along the coast of Western Australia. A favourite vantage point is Cable Beach, a glorious stretch of sand near the lively town of Broome. Nearer the capital Perth, city beaches do the job, as do the western lookouts of nearby Rottnest Island.
