For this week's shopping task housemates must go where no housemate has ever gone before - travelling through time and completing tasks in order to win a luxury shopping budget for the week.

Sunday saw Kara-Louise take a brief trip to 3049 where she found out that housemates fail this task unless they can now change the course of history, Carole, Gerry, Ziggy and Tracey were then sent way back to the year 1847.

During their stay in 1847, the "time travellers" had to successfully complete a series of typically Victorian tasks. For each task that the "time travellers" fail they will incur one fail for the group.

The first task they had to complete was to attempt to create an electrical circuit and invent electricity. They were told that other inventors are trying to claim that they have invented electricity so the "time travellers" must be quick. They had 90 minutes to complete the task.

If housemates managed to illuminate the device that Big Brother called a fluorescent light-generating glass bulb, then they would pass the task.

The "time travellers" would also take part in other tasks, including shoe shining, during their stay in 1847. They had to remain in the year 1847 until there was an available hole in the time space continuum to return to 2007.

Each time housemates fail one task, they will incur one fail for the group. If housemates incur five or more fails then they will fail the task and receive a basic shopping budget for the week.
