John wins!

John wins!

A wannabe politician has won Big Brother Celebrity Hijack scooping the £50,000 prize.

20-year-old Scot John, who is Chairman of the Scottish Youth Parliament, hopes to run for office next year and is studying for a Politics and Sociology degree.

The Edinburgh born student polled 53.9% of Monday night's public vote. Upon hearing the result John said: "What?! I never thought I could win this contest. I thought, 'I'm just John from Edinburgh.' I found the house very inspiring. I've grown as a person. The achievement was getting here and I honestly never thought about winning".

John earned a free pass to the final after passing his very first task, set by Little Britain's Matt Lucas on the opening night. John had to do whatever Matt commanded, including telling housemates he was a singer and a classical musician.

Roller skating contortionist Emilia finished in second place with 46.1% of the public vote.

Conceptual artist Amy finished in third place with 21.9% of the public vote while Boxer Anthony was fourth with 21.6%.

Earlier in the evening racing driver Jeremy ended the contest in fifth place with 15.6% of the vote while wannabe pop star Nathan was sixth with 5.4%.
