TV & Radio - Big Brother Celebrity Hijack

Janet Street-Porter

London born Janet started her career in print journalism in the late 1960s working at the Daily Mail. She soon thrust herself into the spotlight becoming the breakfast show presenter for LBC radio where she invented the irreverent mix of news and entertainment that we take for granted today. Within a few years she moved into television production, first at Channel 4 and then BBC2, where she became an enemy of the nation's critics commissioning controversial TV shows including Def II, Rapido and Red Dwarf. These days she's editor-at-large for The Independent on Sunday newspaper and has appeared on reality TV shows like I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!
