"There’s no one better for The Apprentice than me."

Ex-footballer and sandwich chain owner, Rocky Andrews has become the second person to be fired by Sir Alan Sugar.

We caught up with this year’s youngest Apprentice for an exclusive interview to find out what he thought of his fellow candidates and what he plans to do next.

How does it feel to be fired by Sir Alan?
Obviously it’s not the best feeling. I’ve experienced a bit of time in the city and I’ve realised that it's not my cup of tea.

Did Sir Alan make the right decision?
No chance. There’s not one lad that did more than me across this task. I’m only 21, I’m already successful, I don’t think there’s any one better for The Apprentice than me.

Have you learned from your mistakes?
The only mistake I made was being too diplomatic. I should have ruled with an iron fist.

Your team made a loss after your client refused to pay full price. Was it the food or the togas that pushed him over the edge?
I don’t have a clue because it was all agreed with him before we went in. He started off saying he wanted the best of the best, but he only had a budget of £15.

Do you think you took the right people into the boardroom?
I don’t know. Sir Alan hinted that he thought I should have brought Noorul and Majid in with me but I worked with Howard and James all day and realised they had nothing to offer apart from a lot of hot air... James especially.

Was James really as bad as all that?
I honestly wouldn’t give James a job washing my hands. As soon as he starts speaking people stop listening.

What did you think of the girls’ performance?
The girls take things very seriously. As for Yasmin, the team leader, I didn’t think she did a great job. The ingredients she used were poor, the canapés were like door wedges, and I couldn’t believe that she owned her own restaurant.

What are you plans now? Back to sandwiches?
Yes I’m going to go straight back to work to grow my business and diversify into other areas of food and leisure like restaurants, bars and nightclubs.

Who do you think will win the series?
I think the girls will win the series but I want Phillip to win. Apart from me, he’s the most talented, the most upfront and straightforward but I don’t think he has a chance of winning because he’s a Geordie.
