Advanced Player Help

This is where you'll find out how to use the more advanced bits of the player. Here we'll tell you how to do an advanced search and look at your settings.

Advanced Search

If you've taken a wander through the channels and sub channels, but you're looking for something in particular and you haven't found it, then advanced help is the place to do this.

If you click on 'advanced search' some options will load below the video window.

There's a search box, where you can type in key words like 'casino royale' or 'six nations'. There are also drop down menus, where you can select a channel - movies, sport, tv, knowledge, gaming - or a sub channel to narrow down your search.

Clicking 'do search' will run your search.

The results of your search will appear in the same area, below the video window.

Clicking on any of the videos will launch them in the video window.

If you haven't found what you were looking for you can search again, by clicking on the 'search again' button.

Your Settings

The player works by checking your computer to see what bandwidth you have available to watch videos with. Bandwidth is the amount of data that can be sent from us to you at any given time. So if you're on a low connection, like dial up, we'll only be able to send you low quality video. If you're on a high connection, say 10Mb, we'll be able to send you fabulous spanky great looking video.

You can see what connection speed the player has selected by clicking on 'your settings'.

Next to each connection setting is a button, you'll be able to see which connection speed you're watching on because that will be filled in.

If you want to retest your connection you can click retest and the player will check your connection again.
