Are you a superhero expert? Can you map out the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe in five minutes flat? Or do you think DC is just the capital of the United States?

Marvel's Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2. Available on Sky Cinema from 21 December. Cert 12. Also available in HD

Whether you’ve answered yes or no to the above questions, it matters not. Because this film has something for everyone.

If you’ve heard the one about a thief, a thug, a green assassin, a talking tree and a raccoon, then it’s likely you’ve seen the first of Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy films. If you haven’t, it’s a joyous intergalactic adventure which sees the unlikely clique pottering about space in pursuit of a wealth-inducing Orb.

For the second instalment, the old gang is back together again – Peter “Star-Lord” Quill (Chris Pratt, Jurassic World) is joined by Gamora (Zoe Saldana, Star Trek Beyond) and the ever-so-sarcastic Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista, Spectre). Vin Diesel (Fast And Furious) lends his voice to the walking tree Baby Groot, while Bradley Cooper (The Hangover) is behind genetically altered rodent Rocket. Our motley crew find themselves attempting to trace Star-Lord’s true parentage this time around. Sylvester Stallone, Kurt Russell and a certain Knight Rider complete this super-starry cast.

Whether you’re a fan of sci-fi, romance, comedy, Davina McCall’s Long Lost Family or you want to feel like you’re at a 70s disco, this film has it all. Speaking of discos, it’s got quite the killer soundtrack. The first movie had us toe-tapping to the likes of David Bowie’s “Moonage Daydream” and The Runaways’ “Cherry Bomb”. And Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 follows on in style. From ELO’s “Mr Blue Sky” to Fleetwood Mac’s “The Chain” and “Southern Nights” by Glenn Campbell, this film will hit you repeatedly with its rhythm stick.

With Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 bopping onto Virgin Movies, we’ve found ourselves lost in a movie music groove. So much so, we’ve made a quiz about it.
