How do I activate my new SIM? 

Follow our straightforward checks and steps below to activate your brand new SIM in no time.

Check what size SIM you need


Our SIM cards come in one single pack but cover three different sizes – standard, micro and nano. They’re perforated on the edge so you can pop out the one that just right for your device. Then all you need to do is stick it in your device and turn it on.

Unsure which size to use? Then have a look at the instructions that came with your device or use or SIM size tool.

Activating and setting up your new SIM 


Here’s how to activate you SIM to get you up and running in no time.

1.     Pop in the SIM that fits your device.

2.     Turn your device on.

3.     Wait for the signal connecting you to the Virgin Mobile network to show on your screen – this could take up to 24 hours but it’s usually a lot quicker.

That’s it! You’re set up and good-to-go.

Having trouble finding out or remembering what your new number is?

Finding it is easy. Just do one of the following:

  • Go to your device settings.
  • Register or sign in to My Account and you’ll see your number displayed straight away in your Account Hub.
