Everything you need to know about the Virgin Media Connect app.
The Connect app is the control unit for your WiFi that helps get your Virgin Media broadband up and running and allows you to run a WiFi home scan to smooth out any snags. Plus, if you ever need us, we’re on live chat from 8am to 10pm, 7 days a week. It’s available to anyone with a Hub 3 or 4. Got a Hub 5? Exciting things are coming soon – stay tuned for our latest update.
There are a lot of benefits to having the app:
Using the Connect app is really easy, here’s how to get started today:
Download the app – it's free from Google Play or Apple’s App Store.
Sign in using your Virgin Mobile account, your Virgin Media broadband account, or both.
If you are a Virgin Broadband customer, click “Sign in with a Virgin Media account” and log in using your My Virgin Media details. Once you log in, make sure your WiFi is on and the app will automatically connect to your WiFi network.
If you are a Virgin Mobile customer, click on “Sign in with Virgin Mobile”. The app will recognise your sim and automatically log you in.
Share the benefits – sign in and use the Connect app on up to seven devices at the same time, if you have our broadband.

When you’re signed in on the Connect app, you’re ready to use its best features:
See how well your Hub 3’s powering your home. Open the Connect app’s Broadband tab, tap ‘Start the scan’ and go, room to room, checking for areas with poor WiFi signal. When you’re done, you’ll see a map of where you went plus options to re-scan and test more places (‘Add a new location’).
The ‘Share your WiFi password’ section on the Connect app’s home page gives you the option to:
Connect games consoles together, control what the kids can get up to, keep your home network private – guest networks are designed for your entertainment devices. Follow these steps to turn yours on if you’re using a Hub 3 or 4 (or set up a guest network on a different Hub):
