It’s how you connect to our free WiFi hotspots if you have our broadband or Virgin Mobile sim card. You can also manage and monitor your home WiFi network on the Virgin Media Connect app – it’s designed for the Hub 3 but stay tuned for app updates if you’re using Hub 4 or the newest Hub 5.

When you’re signed in on the Connect app, you’re ready to use its best features:
See how well your Hub 3’s powering your home. Open the Connect app’s Broadband tab, tap ‘Start the scan’ and go, room to room, checking for WiFi blackspots (areas it’s hard for signal to reach). When you’re done, you’ll see a map of where you went plus options to re-scan and test more places (‘Add a new location’).
What makes this even better than a basic WiFi speed test is that you aren’t left to solve problems on your own. The app suggests what to do if it spots a broadband issue and it’ll help you order an Intelligent WiFi Pod - free with your Full House TV (usually £3 a month) - if it thinks your signal could really use a boost.
The ‘Share your WiFi password’ section on the Connect app’s home page gives you the option to:
Connect games consoles together, control what the kids can get up to, keep your home network private – guest networks are designed for your entertainment devices. Follow these steps to turn yours on if you’re using a Hub 3 (or set up a guest network on a different Hub):
It’s easy to change your WiFi settings using the Connect app. Here’s how:
Try refreshing your home network device list by swiping down on the app’s Broadband tab.
