What are the call charges for my Virgin Media home phone?

Last updated: July 10, 2017

Whether you want to know how to check your home phone Talk Plan allowance, your latest call charges or you’ve spotted an unfamiliar call on your bill, you’re in the right place and we’re here to help.

You can see details of calls you’ve made since your last bill by registering or signing in to My Virgin Media at virginmedia.com/myvirginmedia

If you’ve already registered for My Virgin Media, download our handy My Virgin Media app and you can check your recent call charges at home or on the move on a compatible iPhone or Android mobile handset.

If you haven’t registered for My Virgin Media before or can't remember your details, see Managing your Broadband, TV and Phone account with My Virgin Media.

  1. Register or sign in to My Virgin Media at virginmedia.com/myvirginmedia
  2. When signed in, click on My Bills at the top of the page
  3. Select the Overview tab

In the Total charges since last bill section, click Phone. Chargeable calls on your chosen itemisation level are displayed.

If more than one page of results is available, click the arrow on the right hand side to view the next page of results.

Alternatively, you can call our automated phone service on 150 from your Virgin Media phone or mobile, or 0345 454 1111* from any other phone and select option 1.

Why can I only see some calls on the My Bills Overview page?

When you view your unbilled calls in the My Bills area of My Virgin Media, you’ll see details of calls you've made since your last bill. This only shows chargeable calls within your chosen itemisation level, so if you’re on a home phone package that includes certain calls free or a Talk Plan that includes a minute allowance, calls made within your package or allowance are not shown.

You can keep track of how many minutes you’ve used on your home phone by registering or signing in to My Virgin Media at virginmedia.com/myvirginmedia . If you haven’t registered for My Virgin Media or have forgotten your username or password, see Managing your Broadband, TV and Phone account with My Virgin Media.

  1. Register or sign in to My Virgin Media at virginmedia.com/myvirginmedia
  2. When signed in, click on My Bills at the top of the page
  3. Select the Overview tab

From here you can view:

  • Your home phone minutes allowance
  • Any minutes you didn’t use in the previous month which have carried over
  • The minutes you’ve used
  • The number of minutes you have remaining

Alternatively you can access this information by calling 150 from your Virgin Media phone or mobile, or 0345 454 1111* from any other phone and selecting option 1.

We’ve all done it – opened a bill and thought, “I didn’t call that number!”

In many cases, there’s a simple answer – it may just be a one-off call to a person or company you rang on one occasion. For example:

  • Did you call your car insurance company to renew your policy, or call your gas or electricity company? This might be the case if it’s a number starting 0345 or 0870, for example
  • Did you enter any competitions on TV, or take part in a TV vote for something like Big Brother or X Factor?
  • If it’s a premium rate number, you can check who it belongs to at phonepayplus.org.uk. They’re the people who regulate these numbers

If it’s not any of these, is it possible that someone else in your home made the call? It’s worth checking with everyone to make sure.

If you still think that it is not a call that should be on your bill, just call us on 150 from your Virgin Media phone or mobile, or 0345 454 1111* from any other phone.
