Replacing an existing TV box
Disconnect the old TV box
Switch the power off at the socket where the existing TV box is plugged in and unplug the power cable – keep these together.
Unplug the white connector cable and all other cables from the back of the TV box – make sure you don’t unplug the other end!
If it’s a little tough, use the spanner in the new QuickStart kit.
Connect the new TV box
Now let’s get the new TV box ready to go!
Like with the old box, plug in the white cable adapter from your QuickStart kit to the new box, then connect the Ethernet cable to the WiFi Hub, the HDMI cable to your TV, and then the power cable.
Remember, don’t plug the power cable into a wall socket yet!
Finish connecting and start up the new TV box
Now push the white cable that was attached to the old TV box into the other end of the white cable adapter you just attached to the new TV box.
Plug the power cable into a nearby plug socket and make it’s turned on. Check the TV box is switched on at the back.
The TV box might take around 30 minutes to start up while it connects for the first time.
Turn on and get connected
Switch on your TV, then using your own TV remote press the Input, AV or Source button. It may also be a button with this icon.
Select the correct HDMI input for your box.
When you see the Starting up screen, you can pull the tab out of the remote.
Follow the instructions on screen to finish your setup. If you’re connecting via WiFi, instructions will appear on screen.
