How do I unlock my mobile phone?
Unlocking your phone means that it’ll be able to take a SIM from any mobile network provider. The good news is that if you got your mobile phone from us, it’ll already be unlocked. This isn’t always the case for other providers, so if you’ve taken out a SIM only contract with us for a mobile you already have, you’ll need to make sure it’s unlocked.
Step 2: Unlock your phone
Now you’ve got your code, you need to unlock your mobile by following the steps from your phone’s manufacturer. That’s because unlocking your phone differs depending on the make and model of your mobile.
Apple
If you’ve got an iPhone then there are different unlocking steps depending on which version of iOS is installed on your phone.

If your phone’s made by Samsung, Sony, Huawei, Alcatel or LG then it’s most likely an Android.
To unlock your mobile, follow these steps:
- Insert your Virgin Mobile SIM card
- Turn your phone on
- Enter the network unlock code
- Wait for the message to confirm your phone is unlocked
Windows
All you need to do is follow these steps to unlock your phone:
- Insert your Virgin Mobile SIM card
- Turn your phone on
- Enter the network unlock code and press OK
