How do I sign up to eBilling with Virgin Media?

Switching to eBilling for Broadband, TV and Phone is quick and easy. Once you've switched you'll be able to view your bills online and save £21 a year! Read on to find out more.

Switch to eBilling

First of all you’ll have to register or sign in to My Virgin Media. If you haven’t already registered see Managing your Broadband, TV and Phone account with My Virgin Media.

Just have these bits handy:

  • Your Virgin Media Broadband, TV and Phone account number and area reference (both of these are on your bill and Welcome letter)
  • An email address, so that we can send you an email each month to let you know that your bill is ready to view and pay

To register through My Virgin Media:

  1. Register or sign in to My Virgin media at virginmedia.com/myvirginmedia
  2. Click on My Profile at the top of the page
  3. Scroll down to the eBilling section and click Switch to eBilling
  4. Follow the instructions on-screen to complete registration

That’s it! You’ll now be set up to receive your monthly bills to the email address of your choice each month, and don’t forget you can keep an eye on your bills and charges at any time by signing in to your My Virgin Media account.

If you currently receive a paper bill you can find your account number and area reference code in the top right hand corner on the first page of your bill. To view a sample bill, go to Understanding my Broadband, TV and Phone bill.

If you’re already an eBilling customer you can view these in the email notification which advises that your bill is ready to view, or on the My Bills section of your My Virgin Media account.

You are billed for your Virgin Media services monthly. When a new bill is ready, we’ll send an email to the contact email address you have registered with us on your my virgin media account. This will tell you that your bill is available to view online and what date we’ll be taking your payment.

If you want to change the email address we use to contact you, you can change it online as follows:-

  1. Sign in to your My Virgin Media account at virginmedia.com/myvirginmedia
  2. Click on My Profile at the top of the screen
  3. Click Change next to Contact email address
  4. Enter and confirm the new address you’d like us to contact you on each time your new bill is ready

Once you’re set up and registered for eBilling, you can view your monthly bills and current charges through your My Virgin Media account at any time:

  1. Sign in to your My Virgin Media account at virginmedia.com/myvirginmedia
  2. Click My Bills at the top of the page
  3. Select the Overview tab
  4. Under Current bill click the View this bill button to view your latest bill

Or if you want to view your last 5 bills, click on the View bills tab.

If you’ve switched to eBilling and logged in to view your bills, you’ll notice the My Virgin Media My Bills area shows two tabs:

Overview tab

The Overview tab provides you with a dynamic summary of your latest bill, and any charges and payments added since your last bill. Read on to find out more.

Latest bill

This shows you the date your most recent bill was generated and the amount due for the bill.

If you’ve already switched to eBilling, you can click View this bill to check your bill summary and a breakdown of the bill charges.

Your Direct Debit details

If you’ve chosen to pay by Direct Debit, your details will be displayed here. If you want to change your direct debit details, just click Change Direct Debit.

Your credit limit

We may apply a credit limit to your account based on the results of your credit check and the services you have with us. If you’ve reached your credit limit, you may find that your services have been restricted, and you might need to make a payment before those services are restored. Total payments since your last bill

Shows payments made since your last bill, you can pay by clicking Make a payment. If you pay by Direct Debit, any additional payments won't change your Direct Debit amount.

Charges since your last bill date

This section shows any chargeable home phone usage costs outside of your home phone talk plan, and any demand and interactive purchases you’ve made. You can also view any account adjustments that have been made since your last bill. Your usage does not include your monthly package charge.

View bills tab

If you view your bills online rather than receive a paper bill, this tab shows your latest bill. To view previous bills simply select the bill you want to view from the menu on the right of the page.

If you have already switched to eBilling, follow these instructions to print your bill:

  1. Sign in to My Virgin Media at virginmedia.com/myvirginmedia
  2. Click on My Bills
  3. Select the View Bills tab
  4. In the My Bills section to your right hand side, click the View pdf next to the bill you’d like to print
  5. A copy of your selected bill will open as a pdf in a new window
  6. Move your mouse over the bill and when displayed click the printer icon
  7. Follow the instructions on-screen to print your bill
