How do I turn off the wireless connection on my Virgin Media Hub?

How to set up Port Forwarding

  1. Enter 192.168.0.1 into the address bar of your browser
  2. Select Advanced Settings on the menu, then select Security 
  3. Select Port forwarding
  4. You can create a custom rule by specifying the following settings in the Add Rule section
    • Local IP
    • Local start port
    • Local end port
    • External start port
    • External end port
    • Protocol
  5. Select Add to confirm the new port-forwarding rule

 

How to set up Port Triggering

  1. Select Port triggering
  2. Select Add rule
  3. For each port trigger rule that you would like to create, enter the following settings below 

    Trigger Range: the trigger range consists of the range of outgoing ports that will be monitored to trigger the incoming port forwarding rule:
    • Start Port: enter the start port for the trigger range
    • End Port: enter the end port for the trigger range

    Target Range: the target range consists of the range of incoming ports that will be opened when triggered:
    • Start Port: enter the start port for the target range
    • End Port: enter the end port for the target range

    Protocol: select the protocol for the ports:
    • TCP: selects TCP only
    • UDP: selects UDP only
    • TCP&UDP: selects both TCP and UDP

  4. Select On for the Enabled option
  5. Select Add rule to confirm the new port-trigging rule

   

Super Hub 1, 2 or 2ac

  1. Enter 192.168.0.1 into the address bar of your browser
  2. Select Advanced Settings 

To proceed with either port forwarding or port triggering, follow the relevant instructions below.

 

To set up port forwarding

  1. In the Security section, select Port Forwarding
  2. In the Predefined Rule section, select a service from the Service drop-down menu
  3. Optionally, you can also create a custom rule that is not in the list of predefined services by specifying the following settings in the Add Rule section:

    • Name: enter a name for the service 
    • Start Port: enter the start port for the service 
    • End Port: enter the end port for the srvice 
    • Protocol: Select the protocol for the ports:
      • TCP: selects TCP only
      • UDP: selects UDP only
      • TCP&UDP: selects both TCP and UDP 
    • IP Address: enter the local IP address for the computer that is using the service 

  4. Select Add Rule to confirm the new port-forwarding rule and then select Apply

 

To set up port triggering

  1. Select Advanced Settings 
  2. In the Security section select Port Triggering
  3. For each port trigger rule that you would like to create, enter the following settings:

    Trigger Range: the trigger range consists of the range of outgoing ports that will be monitored to trigger the incoming port forwarding rule:
    • Start Port: enter the start port for the trigger range
    • End Port: enter the end port for the trigger range

    Target Range: the target range consists of the range of incoming ports that will be opened when triggered:
    • Start Port: enter the start port for the target range
    • End Port: enter the end port for the target range

    Protocol: select the protocol for the ports:
    • TCP: selects TCP only
    • UDP: selects UDP only
    • TCP&UDP: selects both TCP and UDP 

  4. Select the Enable box to activate the port trigger
  5. Select Apply to confirm the new port-triggering rules
