How do I use a PIN to add a WPS client to my Virgin Media Hub?

Select your Virgin Media Hub below for information on how to use a PIN to add a WPS client to your Hub.

Hub 3

You should find that our standard WPS procedure is the simplest way to get a WiFi connection up and running. To find out about WPS, check The WPS feature on your Virgin Media Hub
 

  1. Access the settings page by entering the web address shown on the Hub 3 sticker. For a guide on how to do this, please see Configure Advanced Settings on your Virgin Media Hub
  2. Click Advanced settings from the menu on the left
  3. Click on Wireless then WPS
  4. Tick the Enable option next to WPS PIN
  5. Under the Add WPS client tick the option next to PIN
  6. Check the PIN of your WPS client, or follow the instructions supplied with it for generating a PIN
  7. Enter the PIN of your WPS client into the PIN box
  8. Click Add client. You may notice that the WiFi light flash green. The Hub 3 will try for up to 2 minutes to connect the WPS client
  9. When the process is complete, the settings page should confirm that a connection was successfully made. The WiFi light on the Hub 3 should stop blinking and go off
  10. You can now close the settings page and the WPS client software

The Hub 3 and your device are now connected wirelessly.

Super Hub 1, 2 or 2ac

You should find that our standard WPS procedure is the simplest way to get a WiFi connection up and running. To find out about WPS, check The WPS feature on your Virgin Media Hub
 

  1. Use the settings printed on the back of the Super Hub to access the Super Hub settings area. For a guide on how to do this, please see Configure Advanced Settings on your Virgin Media Hub
  2. Click Advanced Settings at the bottom of the screen
  3. Click WPS Settings in the Wireless section
  4. Select PIN and a new box will open on the screen
  5. Check the PIN of your WPS client, or follow the instructions supplied with it for generating a PIN
  6. Enter the PIN of your WPS client into the PIN box
  7. Click Add Client. You may notice that the Virgin Media light on the Super Hub starts to blink red and blue. The Super Hub will try for up to two minutes to connect to the WPS client
  8. When the process is complete, the settings page should confirm that a connection was successfully made. The Virgin Media light on the Super Hub 2 should stop blinking and go solid blue
  9. You can now close the settings page and the WPS client software

The Super Hub and your computer are now connected wirelessly.
