Virgin Mobile 4G Explained
4G is the fourth generation of mobile phone technology. Some people may know this as LTE (Long-Term-Evolution). It's the next step in the evolution of mobile data and is replacing our 3G technology, making access to the internet available at a much faster speed for our customers.
The faster speeds mean websites will load quicker, videos and podcasts can be streamed without buffering. Plus, large email attachments or other content from the web can be downloaded much faster.
We think you should keep what you pay for – which is why our 4G plans come with Data Rollover at no extra cost. When your monthly mobile allowances refresh, you’ll stash any unused data to enjoy next month.
The data you’ve saved then gets used up before your inclusive data allowance. And even though rolled over data only lasts a month, there’s no limit on how much you can keep, and next month you can do the same again.
So you can keep tabs on what you’ve got, we’ll text you when you’re rolling over data to next month. We’ll also tell you when you’ve finished your leftover data and started using your normal data allowance.

Data free messaging on WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and Twitter
With data free messaging on WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and Twitter, using these apps won’t eat into your data on your new 4G plan – so you can save your monthly allowance for other fun stuff.
You can use WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and Twitter to message and share pictures or video with your nearest and dearest – even if they’re abroad.
There’s no catch and nothing extra to pay – because data-free messaging on WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and Twitter comes with your new 4G plan as standard.
