How do I get more data with Virgin Mobile?

Think you’re close to hitting your monthly data allowance? You can buy as much extra data as you need to see you through until your monthly allowance refreshes – we call it a data add-on. It’s a great way to make sure you don’t go over your allowance, which might mean extra charges.

How to buy data add-ons

There are 3 different ways you can buy data add-ons:

  • From Your Account
  • From our mobile My Account app
  • If you’re almost out of data, we’ll let you know by sending a text – there’ll be a link in the text to a webpage where you can buy add-ons

Who can get a data add-on?

Data add-ons are available to all our Pay Monthly customers, including if you've got a Data SIM or mobile broadband.

How do they work?

You can buy a data add-on whenever you like – we’ll just add the cost to your next bill.

You can buy as many data add-ons as you like each month. Just make sure you use them all up before your allowance is refreshed, as they won’t roll over to the following month. Add-ons can’t be refunded.

If you still have some inclusive data to use up, that’ll be used before the add-on.

Can I use data add-ons abroad?

You can use data add-ons within the EU with Roam Like Home. This is subject to our fair usage limits. See our Roaming Hub for details and costs.

You can't use data add-ons when outside the EU.

How much do they cost?

You can choose between £10 for 1GB or £20 for 3GB.
