How do I turn on roaming with Virgin Mobile?

If you want to use your phone when you’re abroad, you’ll need to turn roaming on. Also, if you want to make calls abroad, you’ll need to make sure international call barring is turned off.

Follow these simple steps

Mobile/Desktop only wrapper - from Extra small breakpoint - to Small breakpoint

Swipe through

1

Sign in to Your Account

2

Select the Plans and devices tab at the top of the page.

3

Select Manage services tab

4

Make sure you turn roaming on under the Going abroad section

5

Finally check that the international call barring is turned off under the Call barring section

When you get back home

You should be automatically reconnected to our network when you return to this country after your visit.

If you’re struggling to reconnect, try these three things to give your phone a helping hand.

Mobile/Desktop only wrapper - from Extra small breakpoint - to Small breakpoint

Swipe through

1

Turn your phone off and on

2

Select the network manually from your phone’s settings

3

If you can, try removing your phone’s battery while it’s switched on, this helps reboot it and find a local network. If it’s a sealed unit follow the restart option
