Because not only was the precious pooch a posthumous gift from Wick's dearly departed wife, but it also turns out that our retired hero's previous job involved being one of the world's deadliest assassins. If there is any part of you that doubts Keanu Reeves' ability to put the fear of God into someone, just wait until you see him in action.
The movie is directed by Chad Stahelski, who is actually best known for his stunt work on The Matrix films, TRON: Legacy, 300 and more. So the action is eye-popping to say the least. And despite being just a few years away from his free bus pass, Reeves holds his own as he takes on the more youthful and sprightly likes of Alfie Allen and Adrianne Palicki (Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.).
It seems hard to believe that the first Matrix film came out nearly 20 years ago. Especially as Reeves doesn't seem to have aged a day. Has he found the fountain of youth? This YouTube video, with over two million views, only furthers our suspicions...
