New on Netflix in April

A heart-racing thriller, genius pranks, a very royal scandal … there’s something for everyone on Netflix this month

By Charlotte Briggs, Staff Writer

Spring is a time of new beginnings and the same can be said for Andrew Scott, who follows the melancholy modern romance of All Of Us Strangers with a star turn as a penniless but charming 1960s grifter in Ripley

Want to be April fooled? Kick off the month with some epic pranks and illusions as expert trickster Justin Willman brings his skills to the streets in The Magic Prank Show With Justin Willman

For jaw-dropping drama don’t miss Gillian Anderson and Billie Piper in Scoop, which tells the story of the all-woman team who set up Prince Andrew’s infamous Newsnight interview and consequent controversy.

Tensions will be running high in nail-biting true crime documentary What Jennifer Did, as well as the groundbreaking social experiment Unlocked: A Jail Experiment, which reveals what happens when inmates are given “freedom” within the confines a county jail.

For some light relief, there’s the fascinating story of Manchester City’s landmark 2022/23 season in Together: Treble Winners as well as more episodes of enjoyable Aussie soap Heartbreak High
