The Premier League was at it again on the weekend with another headline-making round of action. But what were the moments that really made everyone stand up and take notice?

Read on for our round-up…

1. Result of the weekend

Watford 2-1 Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham continued their superb start to the season on Sunday with a… wait, what? Watford came from behind to beat Mauricio Pochettino’s men at Vicarage Road and make it four wins from four? Hats off to the Hornets – they’ve come flying out of the blocks.

2. Goal of the weekend

Kyle Walker (Manchester City) v Newcastle United

Kyle Walker opened his account for City in sensational style, lashing home the winning goal against Newcastle. With laser-like precision, the defender rifled the ball past Martin Dúbravka from outside the box for only the seventh goal of his entire career. In other news, pigs were seen flying over the Etihad on Saturday evening.

3. Performance of the weekend

Marcos Alonso (Chelsea) v Bournemouth

If you have him in your Fantasy Premier League team, chances are you’re madly in love with Marcos Alonso right now. Chelsea’s left-back was relentless against Bournemouth, attacking the visitors at every opportunity and setting up Eden Hazard for the Blues’ second goal.

4. Manager of the weekend

José Mourinho (Manchester United)

It was a day to remember for Mourinho at Turf Moor, as he saw his embattled United side claim three important points against Burnley. Were you really expecting anything less from a man who lives to silence the critics?

5. ’Mare of the weekend

Alisson Becker (Liverpool) v Leicester City

Just because you’re Brazilian that doesn’t mean you’re good at dribbling. Just ask Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson. After getting his legs in an almighty tangle, the £67 million summer signing was dispossessed by Kelechi Iheanacho, who teed up Rachid Ghezzal to score for Leicester. Fortunately for him it didn’t cost his side the win. Lucky boy.
