Anthony Joshua’s former foes Dillian Whyte and Joseph Parker go toe to toe in a titanic heavyweight showdown on Sky Sports Box Office

Two of the heavyweight division’s toughest stars come together, but that’s not all…

Dillian Whyte v Joseph Parker, Saturday 28 July, from 6pm, Sky Sports Box Office, £19.95 for SD, £20.95 for HD

While no titles will be on the line when Brixton’s Dillian Whyte steps into the ring with New Zealander and former WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker, there’s plenty more than just pride at stake for both.

But, as has become promoter Eddie Hearn’s trademark of late, why have one mouth-watering bout when you could have three, plus the added bonus of seeing one of women’s boxing’s fastest rising stars.

Dillian Whyte v Joseph Parker

Quite simply, this is a thrilling match-up. A loss for either could potentially derail respective comebacks following losses to Anthony Joshua; Whyte’s coming by knockout in 2015, and Parker’s being the recent, respectable points defeat in April. Predicting an outcome is increasingly difficult. Whyte is steadily rising up the ranks and proving doubters wrong with seven successive wins, while Parker is earning plaudits for his ability to both take, and dodge, a hit, as well as being the first man to take Joshua the full, twelve-round distance.

Kell Brook v Brandon Cook

After breaking both eye sockets in consecutive defeats, Kell Brook is well and truly a man on the comeback trail. Losing his welterweight crown in 2017, he’s since stepped up a weight class and looks like a man reborn – comfortably winning his first comeback fight against Sergey Rabchenko, and hoping to climb the super-welterweight rankings in his second against Canada’s Brandon Cook. Expect quick hands, quicker feet, and plenty of power from “The Special One.”

Katie Taylor v Kimberly Connor

Winning Olympic lightweight gold in 2012 proved only the beginning for Ireland’s Katie Taylor. In just nine contests since turning pro, Taylor has amassed an impressive two championship belts, and is set to defend both against veteran Kimberly Connor. Nothing is assured, however, with the American hoping to finally win a world title at the third attempt, and inflict the first loss of Taylor’s otherwise glittering career.

Dereck Chisora v Carlos Takam

Dereck Chisora

In another captivating heavyweight clash, two of the division’s toughest competitors face off, as former world title challenger Carlos Takam locks fists with controversial Brit Dereck Chisora (above). Building on his brave technical knockout loss to (surprise surprise) Anthony Joshua, will be Takam’s main objective, while Chisora is keen to prove he still has what it takes to challenge for a title after a mixed bag of plucky wins and underwhelming losses of late.

Also on the card are up-and-coming Brits Joshua Buatsi and Conor Benn, with Buatsi (an Olympic light heavyweight bronze medal winner in 2016) taking on countryman Ricky Summers for his first professional title. Benn (son of former super-middleweight world champion Nigel) is hoping to improve on his points win over Frenchman Cedrick Peynaud in December and make this rematch his tenth knockout win in just 13 fights.
