Your bumper week of action on BT Sport

Two titans of German football collide this weekend in Der Klassiker, exclusively live on BT Sport

Whether it’s a titanic German footballing showdown or a featherweight brawl in the USA, there’s a whirlwind of action on BT Sport

From Friday 9 November, BT Sport

We’ve all been there. An arduous weekend gathering looms, and the thought of strained conversation and dwindling nibbles has you wishing you had a feast of sporting action to sink your teeth into instead.

And then, like Gandalf appearing at first light on the fifth day of the Battle of Helm’s Deep, BT Sport comes along with an abundance of footy, cricket, UFC and rugby to take all your troubles away. Simply read on below to find out more

Australia v South Africa: Second ODI

Friday 9 November, 3am, BT Sport 1/HD (CH 531/527)

After the ripper of an opener, Australia and South Africa go bat to bat once again in what’s sure to be another one-day international packed with splintered wickets, boundary-busting smashes and bizarrely costumed fans. And if you feel an all-consuming cricket-less void rising up at the end of play, fear not, because the third and final match happens just two days later!

Gallagher Premiership Rugby: Gloucester v Northampton

Friday 9 November, 7.30pm, BT Sport 2/HD (532/528)

Expect thunderous tackles and enough muffled grunting to fill an experimental EP when these two juggernauts of English club rugby collide. After their opening few fixtures, it’s safe to say that while Gloucester’s start to the season has been decidedly average, Northampton’s is underwhelming. As such, both will be looking to take all the points on offer this Friday night, making an already tasty match-up even more mouth-watering.

Bundesliga: Borussia Dortmund v Bayern Munich

Saturday 10 November, 5.15pm, BT Sport 2/HD (532/528)

Whether you identify as a Rhinelander, a Bavarian or none of the above, this is a footballing rivalry that’s definitely not to be missed. Add to the mix Dortmund’s rampant start and Bayern’s somewhat stuttering beginning to their sixth successive title defence, and this is easily one of the most compelling Der Klassikers in recent years.

UFC Fight Night 139

Sunday 11 November, from 1am, BT Sport 2/HD (CH 532/528)

With an undercard packed with some of UFC’s lighter weight classes, this should be a night full of fast hands, faster feet and frantic, all-out action. Frankie “The Answer” Edgar faces “The Korean Zombie”, Chan Sung Jung, in a match-up featuring two of the featherweight division’s toughest prospects who, with a win, could propel themselves back into contention for a title shot.
