With hundreds of hours of newly-commissioned Scottish shows coming your way, there’s so much more to watch...

BBC Scotland HD launches on CH 108 on Sunday 24 February. See channel previews from Wednesday 20 February

Launching on Sunday 24 February is the new channel BBC Scotland HD (CH 108) – the brand new home for the very best Scottish documentaries, drama, news, sport, comedy and entertainment programmes.

The new channel will feature hundreds of hours of newly-commissioned shows, including new four-part drama series Guilt starring Mark Bonnar (Line of Duty) and Jamie Sives (Game of Thrones), and Emeli Sandé’s Street Symphony, where the singer travels around Scotland to select five buskers to put on a concert with an entire orchestra.

Elsewhere, there will be a nightly news hour The Nine and a Question Time-style debate series from Scotland. There will also be plenty of sport with SPFL Championship matches scheduled regularly on Friday nights – the channel will show up to 20 live games a season.

On opening night, the channel will premiere the first episode of series 9 of comedy Still Game. This last-ever series reunites all the Craiglang regulars, along with guest stars including Martin Compston (Line of Duty), pop stars Midge Ure and Amy MacDonald, and James MacPherson (Taggart).

All of this is just for starters. BBC Scotland will be available on CH 108 in Scotland. And from Wednesday 20 February, some of your favourite BBC HD channels will also have received a brand new channel number to make them easier to find. You won’t have to do a thing, because this all happened automatically. Your Series Link+ is unaffected. Click here to find out more.

And just as an extra bonus for Scottish customers, your STV channel (CH 103) is now also in high definition.
