Who’s in it? When’s it on? Will Iain Stirling be back? We answer your burning questions

Before we head back to the villa filled with snakes, polar bears and inflatable flamingos, we answer the big questions…

Love Island, daily from Monday 4 June, 9pm, ITV2/HD (CH 115/176). Also available for 7 days in Catch Up > Channels > ITV Hub

Something extraordinary happened to the nation last summer. We turned our backs on some quite nice weather. We ignored all text messages involving social arrangements that would require leaving the house on any evening between Sunday and Friday. We had conversations with strangers on buses the minute we heard the trigger word “recoupling”. Personalised water bottles became cool and not the preserve of awkward teens taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. We started saying things like “He’s mugged you right off”, “That’s a little bit leave it” and “100 per cent my type on paper” in the workplace.

And it’s all about to start again, because the BAFTA-winning series Love Island is back!

Here’s a quick summary if you’re late to the party and haven’t understood a word we have said: a bunch of single girls and guys spend the summer in a villa in Mallorca, all in the name of finding love. If they fail to couple up, they’ll be dragging their suitcase down the gravelly driveway and taking the first flight home. But if they make it to the end, they are in with a chance of winning £50,000.

This year, we have the fourth run of the revived series, and the sixth overall. Here are the big questions on everyone’s lips…
