Talking Flack with Lydia Wilson

Talking Flack with Lydia Wilson

Could the actress hack it as a PR flack? Find out in our exclusive video interview

What advice would you give to an influencer following a potentially career-ending leak? Flack star Lydia Wilson has the answer…

Flack, Thursdays, 10pm, W (CH 125). Also available in On Demand > Box Sets

Lydia Wilson (Requiem, Ripper Street) plays the sarcastic and glamorous eye-roll and insult queen Eve in W’s original drama, which is named after a US slang term for a PR agent. However, in real life, she couldn’t be lovelier. She’s softly spoken, smiley and miles removed from her role as a ruthless celebrity PR professional. Yet, as she explains, she’s picked up on a few of the tricks of the trade along the way.

We sat down with Lydia to learn more about how Eve would navigate some particularly tricky publicity nightmares – nightmares including an actor who has accidentally tweeted a VERY private picture, and an influencer whose friend leaks they bought all their followers. She also weighs in on working with her co-stars Anna Paquin (True Blood) and Sophie Okonedo (Hotel Rwanda), and reveals what she learned while working at a real-life PR agency. Get the inside scoop below.
