What if I don't sign up?

If you don't sign up with Junara by your sign-up date, your mailbox will be suspended and eventually deleted. This means you won’t be able to access your email through our website, and if you access your emails through a third-party email client (such as Microsoft Outlook or Apple Mail), they may show an error.

Please make sure you’ve saved any important emails or attachments before your sign-up date.

What happens if I miss the sign-up date?

If you miss the sign-up date, it's not too late – you’ll have an extra 120 days to sign up and reactivate your email account and its contents before it’s deleted.

You’ll be able to sign in on Junara.com, or continue to use your third-party email client (such as Outlook or Apple Mail).

If you use a third-party email client (such as Microsoft Outlook or Apple Mail), your mailbox will look the same and you shouldn’t need to change any email settings. If you access your email through a webpage, it won't look the same, but it'll still be easy to use. Junara have some helpful how-to videos.

After you’ve signed up with Junara, you can manage your account by signing into My Account at account.junara.com.

If your mailbox has been suspended and you use a third-party email client (like Outlook or Apple Mail), you’ll see an error message when trying to send or receive emails after your mailbox suspension date. You’ll still be able to view any emails you received before the suspension date.

If you access your emails through the Virgin Media website, you won’t be able to access your mailbox when it’s suspended. Instead, you’ll be redirected to a page letting you know what to do next.

If you've set up auto-forwarding on your Virgin Media mailbox, emails will continue to be forwarded to your chosen email account, even when your Virgin Media mailbox is suspended.

However, your Virgin Media mailbox will be permanently deleted if you don’t take any action to keep the mailbox active. Once the deletion happens, emails will no longer be forwarded.

Yes. After your sign-up date, you have an extra 120 days to follow the same sign-up process to keep your email account and mailbox contents.

If you don’t sign up for Junara, your mailbox and email account will be permanently deleted. For help and support with forwarding your emails to a new email account, please visit our help page.

If you sign up to Junara and transfer your Virgin Media mailbox, you’ll be able to access all of your emails as normal.

If you don’t sign up, your mailbox will be suspended and eventually deleted.

Once your mailbox has been deleted, what happens next depends on how you access your emails:

  • If you use a third-party email client (like Outlook or Apple Mail), you’ll still be able to view any emails you received before the deletion date, but you’ll see an error message and won’t be able to send or receive any more emails.

  • If you access your emails through the Virgin Media website, you’ll lose access to all your emails and they’ll be deleted.

If you want to save a small amount of emails, you can forward them on to a different email account before the suspension date. We have full instructions on how to do this over on our help page.
