Do I need a Virgin Media wall socket?
These small, but mighty boxes house our fibre-optic cables which make them essential for connecting you to our ultrafast broadband network. If you’re struggling to find a Virgin Media wall socket in your home or wondering how to get one, we can help.

How to find a Virgin Media wall socket
Having trouble locating a Virgin Media wall socket in your home? You’ll often find it near the TV, but it could be placed anywhere. Look out for our logo to see if it’s Virgin Media – our wall sockets come in all shapes and sizes. The wall socket is what you’ll plug your white isolation cable into, with the other end plugged into the WiFi Hub.

If you find the wall socket in your home doesn’t quite match the above, don’t worry. Our wall sockets can look different in flats or apartments and in some cases may even have a plug attached. If it does, just be sure it’s plugged in and turned on.

If it’s labelled with Virgin Media, NTL or Telewest, you’re good to go.
FAQS
Whilst our wall sockets are unique compared to other service providers like BT, there are variations of Virgin Media sockets. These can vary depending on the type of broadband connection you have in your area – like whether you’re a full fibre customer for example.
For optimal results, we always recommend that customers use a socket labelled with either Virgin Media, NTL or Telewest. Although, some third-party sockets may also be compatible.
