Intro to Netflix Services

Some of our bundles (Ultimate Volt, Biggest TV, Biggest TV Volt) now include Netflix Standard at no extra cost. If you’re an existing Netflix customer, you’ll be able to keep your account and switch your Netflix services to Virgin Media. If one of these bundles is not right for you, you also have the option of adding Netflix to your Virgin Media bill.

How can I get Netflix via Virgin Media?

You can either choose one of our Netflix Inclusive bundles or add Netflix to your Virgin Media bill. Head over to https://www.virginmedia.com/broadband/packages or you can contact us on 0800 064 3850. For more help on Netflix and what this means, check our FAQs below by selecting one of the options.

Get a Virgin Media bundle that includes Netflix

If you choose one of our Netflix inclusive bundles, Netflix Standard will be included in your total monthly package price at no extra cost.

Our Ultimate Volt, Biggest TV and Biggest TV Volt bundles include Netflix Standard at no extra cost.

You will see Netflix in the ‘Netflix’ section of your bill, but there won’t be a charge. If you decide to upgrade to Netflix Premium, the additional charge for this will be shown in the ‘Netflix’ section of your bill.

If you already have Netflix but are buying one of our inclusive bundles, it’s important to make sure you use the same e-mail address that your current Netflix account is registered to when activating the service – everything will then transfer over to us automatically.

If you don’t use the same e-mail address, you’ll carry on being charged through Netflix directly as before.

To view Netflix content in 4k Ultra HD, you will need to upgrade your plan to the Netflix Premium plan (for an additional monthly cost). You can do this via your MyVM account or directly with Netflix once you have completed registration.

If you have a Netflix inclusive bundle, and don’t keep up with your payments to Virgin Media, your Netflix account will be suspended until you re-start your payments.

Netflix is included as part of your bundle. You’ll be able to use Netflix until the end of your package period.

Once we’ve stopped billing you for your Netflix plan, Netflix will let you know how you can update your account payment method to pay Netflix directly.

When Netflix is included as part of your bundle, you cannot cancel Netflix separately. You do have the option to opt out of Netflix if you want to remain on the same bundle, but this will not reduce your package price. Call us on 150 from your Virgin Media phone or mobile, or 0345 454 1111 from any other phone.

You also have the option to add parental controls to restrict Netflix access, via your STB settings or Netflix directly (https://www.Netflix.com/YourAccount)

Add Netflix to my Virgin Media bill

When you join Netflix, your service charges start from the day you join. We may create your Virgin Media bill for your services with us on a different day.

Normally, each Virgin Media bill will include one monthly fee for your Netflix plan.

However, when your Netflix renewal date and Virgin Media bill date are very close together, you may occasionally see some changes to how the Netflix renewal fee shows on your Virgin Media bill.

Sometimes we may prepare your Virgin Media bill before your next Netflix billing date is due - in that case you may not see a Netflix charge on that bill. Where this happens, you may see a Netflix charge for two months on your next Virgin Media bill instead of one. Don’t worry, you won’t be charged any extra for Netflix than you normally are. In case you’re ever in doubt, the date of your Netflix billed through date is listed on your Virgin Media bill.

If you’ve completed the Netflix sign-up process through your Virgin Media TiVo or 360 box, and have Virgin Media as your payment option, Netflix will notify us of your service charge which will be added to your Virgin Media bill.

You’ll then just pay for this together with your other Virgin Media services on your bill. If you pay us through Direct Debit, this means we’ll add it to your monthly payment without you having to do anything else.

If you don’t see the option for Virgin Media billing on your box, or if you sign up via the Netflix website, you will pay for Netflix directly instead of having your plan added to your Virgin Media bill.

You’ll see the Netflix charge in the Netflix section of your Virgin Media bill.

If you’ve registered for e-billing, you can see your Netflix plan charged to your account since your last bill in the Netflix section in My Virgin Media, and the My Virgin Media app.

If you would like to add Netflix to your Virgin Media bill, you’ll need to cancel your current Netflix plan directly with Netflix and wait until your billing period ends.

Once your existing Netflix plan ends, you can add Netflix to your Virgin Media bill when you restart your plan – either on the Virgin TV box or in My Virgin Media.

Yes! When you join Netflix, you’ll get to choose your Netflix plan. Select Netflix Premium to access 4K Ultra HD with compatible devices. If you choose another Netflix plan, you’ll only have access to the format available in that plan.

When you pay your Netflix plan via your Virgin Media bill, you’ll need to make sure you’re all up to date with your payments to us.

If you don’t keep your payments up to date with Virgin Media, Virgin Media will let Netflix know there has been an issue with your payment, and your Netflix plan may be cancelled or suspended. You may re-join directly with Netflix by adding a new payment method on file directly with Netflix if this happens.

You’ll be able to use Netflix until the end of the billing period you’ve paid for on your final Virgin Media bill.

Once we’ve stopped billing you for your Netflix plan, Netflix will let you know how you can update your payment method to pay Netflix directly.

You can join Netflix and cancel at any time in the same way that any Netflix subscriber can. To make any changes or to cancel your Netflix plan go to the Netflix website (www.netflix.com/account) and follow the instructions.

Please remember that the Virgin Media bill that includes your final Netflix renewal fee may be due for payment after the end of your Netflix billing period.

Cancellation and membership are all subject to Netflix’s own terms and conditions, so if you need more help with cancelling or changing your plan, visit the Netflix Help Centre.
