How do I put the Hub into modem mode?
What Hub do you have?
Hub 3 or Hub 4
- Enabling modem mode allows you to connect your own WiFi kit to the Hub 3 or Hub 4
- It effectively becomes a stand-alone DOCSIS3 cable modem

How to enable modem mode on the Hub 3 or Hub 4
Make sure you are connected to the Hub before following these steps.
Swipe through

Enter 192.168.0.1 into the address bar of your browser

The password is printed on the bottom of the Hub

Select Modem Mode on the left hand side of the screen

Select the option next to Enable Modem Mode

Select Apply changes
Note: Once in Modem Mode, the IP address you use to access the Hub changes from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.100.1.
How to put the Hub 3 or Hub 4 back into Router mode
Make sure you are connected to the Hub before following these steps.
Alternatively, you can reset the Hub to its factory settings which will activate router mode.
Swipe through

Enter 192.168.0.1 into the address bar of your browser

The password is printed on the bottom of the Hub

Select Modem Mode on the left hand side of the screen

Select the option next to Disable Modem Mode

Select Apply changes. The Hub will reboot and return to router mode
How to enable modem mode on the Super Hub 1, 2 or 2ac
Make sure you are connected to the Super Hub 1, 2 or 2ac before following these steps.
Swipe through

Enter 192.168.0.1 into the address bar of your browser

The password is printed on the bottom of the Hub

Select Super Hub Settings to see the Modem Mode section

Select Enable Modem Mode

Select Yes to continue. The Super Hub will reboot and activate Modem Mode
Note: Once in Modem Mode, the IP address you use to access the Super Hub changes from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.100.1
How to put the Super Hub back into Router mode
Make sure you are connected to the Super Hub before following these steps.
Alternatively, you can reset the Hub to its factory settings which will activate router mode.
Swipe through

Go to the settings webpage shown on the bottom of the Hub. If you have enabled Modem Mode you will need to enter 192.168.100.1 into your browser

Once you’re signed in, select Super Hub Settings

In the Modem Mode section, select the Disable Modem Mode button

Select Yes to continue. The Hub will reboot and return to Hub mode
