What do I do if Virgin Media Web Safe isn't working?
One of the best things about Web Safe is that it is so easy to use! It’s either on and doing its best to protect you, or you can choose to turn it off. For more information see How to use Web Safe.
If you’ve activated Child Safe or Virus Safe, when other members of the family try to access a site that has been determined to be inappropriate or one that you have chosen to block yourself – they’ll be notified with a message giving you an opportunity to explain why the site is blocked.
NOTE: If the site is a secure version of a blocked site, a message won’t be displayed. See 'Will Web Safe block sites starting with https?' in Web Safe FAQs for more information.
If there is a website that you believe is safe but has been blocked or there is a site that can be accessed that you believe should be blocked as part of a category, you can report it through My Virgin Media:
- Sign in to virginmedia.com/myvirginmedia with your primary My Virgin Media usernameand password
- Click on My Apps
- Click on Web Safe
- Click Settings
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Report a Website
If you suspect there’s a fault with Web Safe, go to our Service Status page that will tell you if there are problems with it, or any of Virgin Media’s services.
