QuickStart Guide - Installing Virgin Broadband

For help with installing your new broadband kit installed, watch our handy video or follow the steps below:

Step 1 - Do you have the required equipment?

Before you get started, take a look at the kit you've received. If you've got all the kit below, you're good to go!

If you don't, we’re sorry that your installation pack isn’t complete. Just give us a call on the number in your QuickStart pack , and we’ll send out the missing parts as soon as possible.

Step 2 - Connect the isolation cable

First, remove the items from the QuickStart Connectors Pack.

Grab the isolation cable and connect the thick end to the Virgin Media wall socket. Ensure the cable is pushed firmly in.

Step 3 - Connect the co-axial cable to your new hub

Grab the end of the white co-axial cable and connect to the pokey-out socket on the Hub.

Next, grab the power adapter and plug it into the small round socket underneath the red tab. Then connect the plug into the nearest wall socket and switch it on. Please ONLY use the power adapter provided.

Press the power button on.

Step 4 - Connect to the Hub's wireless network

Now your Hub is powered on we need to connect your devices:

Step 5 - Your Hub is now setup!

Your new Hub should be all set up now and ready for you to enjoy.

Step 2 - Unplug your old Broadband equipment

Remove your current modem or hub (if installed) by first unplugging at the wall socket.

Step 3 - Remove your old Broadband equipment

Next, remove all the cables from the back of your old modem / router.

To remove the white co-axial cable, unscrew anti-clockwise, using the spanner provided if you need to.

Please leave the other end of the co-axial cable connected to the wall socket or splitter.

Step 4 - Connect the co-axial cable to the Hub

Grab the end of the white co-axial cable and connect to the pokey-out socket on the Hub.

Next, grab the power adapter and plug it into the small round socket underneath the red tab. Then connect the plug into the nearest wall socket and switch it on. Please ONLY use the power adapter provided.

Press the power button on.

Step 6 - Your Hub is now setup!

Your new Hub should be all set up now and ready for you to enjoy.
