Before you get started, take a look at the kit you've received. If you've got all the kit below, you're good to go!

If you don't, we’re sorry that your installation pack isn’t complete. Just give us a call on on the number in your QuickStart pack, and we’ll send out the missing parts as soon as possible.

Step 2 - Remove your old set top box

Remove your old set top box by first unplugging at the wall socket.

Step 3 - Remove your old set top box

Next, remove all the cables from the back of the old set top box.

For the white co-axial cable, unscrew anti-clockwise, using the spanner provided if you need to. Then remove the remaining connections (HDMI or SCART) from the back of the set top box, but leave them connected to the TV.

Please leave the other end of the co-axial cable connected to the wall socket or splitter.

Important note: If equipment return instructions have been provided, then we need it returned. A charge may be made to your account if equipment is unreturned.

Step 4 - Connect the co-axial cable to the TiVo box

Grab the end of the white co-axial cable that was previously connected to your old set top box and push it into the CABLE IN port at the back of your new TiVo box.

Step 5 - Insert batteries into your TiVo remote

Grab the new TiVo remote control and insert the batteries as shown.

Step 6 - Connecting your TiVo box to your TV

Connecting to an HD TV

Connect the HDMI cable provided into the HDMI port on the back of your TiVo box. Connect the other end to a free HDMI port on your TV.

Connecting to a NON HD TV

Connect a SCART cable (not supplied) to the SCART port on the back of your TiVo box. Connect the other end to a free SCART socket on your TV.

Step 7 - Power up your TiVo

Grab the power pack and plug into the power port on the TiVo box, as shown.

Next, connect the power cable into the power pack, then plug into the wall socket and switch on.

Finally, switch the TiVo box on at the back.

Step 8 - Turn on your TV

Turn your TV on and using your TV remote (not TiVo remote) select the “Input”, “AV” or “Source” button.

Once selected, you'll see a menu similar to the example shown. Select the input that relates to the port used; HDMI or SCART. For example, if you used HDMI 1 port on your TV, select the HDMI 1 option on the menu screen.

Step 9 - Complete Setup

Once you have selected the correct input you will see a "Starting Up" message on screen. It can take up to 30 minutes for the TiVo software to download and a number of different screens will appear. If the screen goes blank, please refrain from switching the box off, this is normal.

The Home screen appears when the download is complete.

Step 10 - TiVo setup completed!

Great! Now that you're all set up, why not take a few minutes to explore all the amazing features and content available on your Virgin TV service.
