  • Related Videos - Watch YouTube videos related to the show and more (where available)
  • Explore this show - Find details about the show, including information about upcoming episodes and cast members

My Shows options

If you’ve got heaps of shows saved, you might like to customise how you view it all, to make it easier to find what you want.

Folders

When you create a Series Link+ that includes On Demand, or if you have more than one episode recorded for a show, a Folder will be created in My Shows.

When you’re in a Show Folder, you can change the content view by pressing the Blue button on your remote. The content view options are:

  • Recordings – displays your recorded show episodes only. Recorded episodes will be marked with the Recorded icon
  • Recordings and On Demand – displays your recorded shows and any episodes available from Catch Up, On Demand and Netflix

You can highlight the Folder name and press Play to play all of the recorded shows in the Folder in sequence, beginning with the oldest. Any episodes from On Demand won’t be played.

NOTE: The number next to the folder shows how many recorded episodes are in the Folder.

Categories

On the left on My Shows you’ll see a list of categories for your recorded programmes, such as TV & Radio, Films, Sport and Children. You can choose which categories are shown, or turn them off completely by pressing green on your remote and selecting the Left column option.

NOTE: To see all recordings available on your Virgin TV V6 box from all show folders, add Recordings as a category.

Sorting

In the My Shows categories you can sort your recordings in alphabetical order or date recorded (with the newest at the top)

When you’re in a show folder, you can sort by name in alphabetical order or by series and episode (with the oldest at the top)

Suggestions folder

Suggestions is where the telly your Virgin TV V6 box thinks you'll love is stored.

Recently deleted recordings folder

You’ll see the Recently Deleted Recordings folder at the bottom of the My Shows list. To recover a recently deleted recorded show, go into the folder, select the show you want to rescue and then select Recover this show.

Available space

The small bar underneath where it says My Shows represents the percentage of space you’ve still got available on your Virgin TV V6 box.

On Demand shows that Series Link+ saves in your My Shows folder don't take up any space - that's because they're not saved to your box and you stream them instead.

Suggestions don’t count towards your available space either – they’ll be deleted automatically to make way for your recorded shows.

Show details

You can find out more about any of your recordings in My Shows by highlighting the show and pressing OK. From here you can also choose to play, delete or stop recording it.

Watching saved shows using QuickMode

QuickMode allows you to play saved shows at 1.3 x normal speed with pitch-corrected audio, so you don't have to listen to high-pitched audio while you watch your favourite shows in less time.

QuickMode is particularly great for news and sports programs, and is available for all recorded shows and Delay TV (up until you reach the live TV point).

  1. While watching a show, press Play on your remote to bring up the Trickplay Bar
  2. Press OK to start QuickMode
  3. When you’re finished watching in QuickMode, repeat the above steps to resume watching at normal speed

Clever ways to rewind and fast forward

Used Skip Back or Skip Forward and skipped too far? Quickly press Play and you'll skip back or forward 8 seconds depending on which button you were pressing. If you're fast forwarding or rewinding and you want to play the show from the exact point you're on, just press Pause twice.
