FAQ

I've got a question

We’re aiming to connect about 4 million extra homes and businesses. Pretty cool, right?

We currently reach just over 44% of homes in the UK, and we’re expecting that to rise to almost 53%.

We're always working on and updating our plans, and if you've registered for email updates we'll be able to drop you a line to confirm when we'll be coming to your area.

You can see our current product  range along with their prices on this website, though they are updated from time to time. Our services include our ultrafast, ultra-reliable fibre broadband, home phone and more TV than you can shake a stick at. However, depending on your area, you may not be able to receive all our services.

What happens after I've registered for updates?

Nope. Sit back, relax and we'll be in touch as soon as we have any news about your area.

Our plans are always growing and developing. Keep an eye on your inbox - if your area moves into our expansion plans we’ll be the first to give you a shout.

It all depends on where you live. In some areas there may be restrictions, but the majority of homes we pass will be able to benefit from all the great services we have to offer.

At this stage, no. Until we have firm plans to get cracking in your area, we can't take any pre-orders. But sit tight; if we decide to come to your area we'll let you know as soon as you can pre-order.

We offer the UK's fastest widely available broadband, with speeds of up to 300Mbps.It’s so fast, it can even cope with the demands of homes that have more than 10 devices.

Our up to 300Mbps optical fibre is the UK’s fastest widely available download speed, and it’s over three times faster than BT and Sky’s top speeds.

How does registering for updates work?

Not at all. Registering for updates is just that: we'll keep you up to date on any progress in your area.

Some properties may not be able to be connected due to factors like infrastructure, whereas other streets are only a short distance away from an existing network, so it's easier and cheaper to connect them. Whatever your situation, we'll keep in contact so you're up to date with progress in your area.

Not necessarily. Our plans do change from time to time so it doesn’t definitely mean we’ll never be coming.

Sadly not. There will be some areas of the UK we can't get to as our current network is too far away. We'll let you know if you fall into this group, and of course if this changes in the future we'll be in touch ASAP.

If you’re a small business, absolutely! If your business is larger, visit Cable My Business instead.

Staying Updated

As soon as we have updates or news in your area, we'll either send you an email or a text message. If we’re coming to your area, we'll get in touch to confirm what stage we are with the plans and also what happens next.

How can I speed up Virgin Media coming to my area?

We're afraid not, but even if you can't get our services now, things are always changing. Sign up for our email updates and we'll drop you a line if we know something's coming your way.
