What is a broadband and TV deal?
A broadband and TV deal is great if you want to bundle up your digital TV services with a fibre broadband package. This way, you can pay a single monthly fee for your TV and internet, which can work cheaper than getting your services from separate providers. With a bundled TV broadband deal, you’ll also avoid the hassle of paying separate bills to different broadband and TV companies.
If you choose a broadband and TV deal with Virgin Media, you’ll combine the benefits of superfast fibre broadband with a selection of TV channels including sports, movies, dramas and entertainment. You can also get premium channel packs like Sky Sports, BT Sport and Sky Cinema.
Access to streaming services, like Netflix and Disney+ are also available for Virgin TV 360 customers, when you subscribe to them. Our Biggest TV, Biggest TV Volt and Ultimate Volt bundles already include Netflix in Full HD, so you can keep everything together in one bill.
Why should I get a broadband and TV package?
It’s all about finding what’s right for you. Bundling your services under one provider can definitely make life easier, but is it better to get broadband and TV together?
The advantages of getting a broadband and TV package include:
Simplicity
If everything is in one place, combining your broadband and TV services can make them easier to manage, with one point of contact and your bill easier to keep track of.
Price
Bundling your TV and broadband can also work out cheaper than using separate providers (though this is not always the case).
Extras
You’ll find extra incentives are sometimes included to add more value to your package. Make sure to look out for these when browsing the best TV and broadband deals!
At Virgin Media, you can compare the latest broadband and TV offers labelled against the respective packages above.
Can I get a bundle with broadband, TV and a landline?
Yes, it’s probably more common to find service providers offering broadband, TV and home phone packages, than just broadband and TV, despite the falling demand for landline.
If you find you still have use for a landline, why not compare our broadband, TV and phone packages? Our Evening & weekend chatter plan gives you unlimited evening and weekend calls to all UK landlines and mobile networks. Explore our broadband, TV and phone deals.
Can I get broadband and TV package without a phone line?
Yes, you can get broadband and TV without a phone line in the package. Many of us rely on our mobile phones and cloud-based video apps to stay in touch with friends and family more than we do a traditional landline. As no one wants to pay for a service they’re not going to use, many providers have a number of broadband and TV packages available, to cater for this need.
Virgin Media has a range of great broadband and TV deals that come without a landline that you can compare. Our services are delivered via a cable connection which consists of fibre and delivers our broadband service. Whereas other broadband connections, like ADSL, still rely on a wholly copper landline to connect your property to the internet. This can be a slower alternative to fibre broadband.
How to choose the best TV and broadband package deal
To get the best value deal for you and your household, it’s worth considering the following aspects:
Download limits
Download limits relates to your broadband usage, or how much you download from the internet. If you’re online a lot, you might not want to place a limit on your connection. At Virgin Media, all our broadband packages offer unlimited usage, subject to our fair usage policy, so you can stream, game and browse without worrying about restrictions.
Download speed
Do your research around broadband speeds before choosing your TV and broadband package. If you routinely stream large HD videos or play online games, you’ll need a fast internet connection. Explore Virgin Media’s fibre optic broadband deals for ultrafast speeds.
Availability
You’ll need to see what you can get in your area before you choose your broadband and TV deal. Fast broadband networks are always expanding but it’s best to check what’s on offer where you live.
Equipment
Some broadband providers need you to have certain equipment installed to set up a connection, such as a phone line or new WiFi Hub - something to consider if you’re switching. Most companies provide this for free, although you may still need to pay a set-up or delivery fee.
Customer support
How will you be supported if something goes wrong? How easy is it to get information or have an issue resolved? Many providers have teams to help support you if there are issues with your connection, and some offer premium support if you need extra help.
Contract length
Find out how long you are committed to the deal you are looking at. A standard length of contract is usually around 18 months and when this period ends, you’ll usually be moved onto a 30-day rolling contract. At this point it’s easier to start looking for another provider if you see a better deal, or you’re unhappy with the service. It’s also worth checking if there are any penalties for leaving your service during the initial contracted period.
Cost of broadband and TV
To avoid any nasty surprises and get the best value for money with your TV and broadband deal, make sure you look past the initial price you’ll pay and remember packages tend to go up in price once your offer period ends.
Channels
Aside from having a reliable internet connection, you’ll also want to know what TV and entertainment options are available. It’s great having access to hundreds of channels, but if you’re only interested in a select few, you may as well as find a specific deal to suit you.

You’ll just need to decide on the cancellation of the old service and fix a new start-up date; they will help you with the rest. Learn how to switch broadband providers.
Your new provider should outline the method of installing your services. Most will also offer to send an engineer round to get things set up for you and show you how everything works, although this can come with an additional charge.

No, Virgin Media broadband doesn’t require a phone socket (it uses more modern cables). That’s why we can do you a broadband only deal.
Combining your broadband with other deals like TV and phone is a simple way of keeping track of your services, with a single provider as opposed to three. It can also save you money in the long run and make it easier to switch if you find a better package deal elsewhere. Some providers will also offer exclusive offers and incentives, such as bill credit or free setup, if you buy a bundled package through them.
