Celebrating our women in sales

Last month Virgin Media Business put forward nine amazing sales people for the 2017 Women in Sales Awards (WISA).

The WISA awards celebrate the positive achievements of women in sales roles, and recognise those who become role models and ambassadors for other people in their organisations.

Today we are pleased to share that seven out of the nine nominees made it through the finals - we’ll check in to find out whether they won after the awards ceremony in December.

In the meantime, Emma-Leigh and Angelique share the buzz they are feeling after hearing they made it through to the final round:

Emma-Leigh, who works on specialist large enterprise sales and was nominated for Best Women Sales Newcomer, said:

> I was completely blown away at being nominated, to learn yesterday that I have made it through as a finalist is such an amazing feeling. I hope to do myself, my Family and Virgin Media Business proud.

Emma-Leigh was nominated for fantastic sales skill and her ability to inspire a young sales team to perform through her inspiration energy, willingness to win and co do attitude.

Angelique, who works in deskbased sales and was nominated for Best Woman in Telephone Sales, said:

> Getting through to the final was a shock and a very proud moment for me! To be able to represent Virgin Media Business in my category is pretty scary, but I’ll give it all I’ve got!

Angelique was nominated for her exceptional track record in sales, being an excellent advocate of the Virgin brand and for turning underperforming teams around to become high performing.
