The results of the uSwitch.com Broadband Awards are in, revealing what Britons really think of their broadband providers - from speeds and reliability, to customer service and support. The winners, voted for by both consumers and industry experts, were announced at last night’s awards at Café de Paris in London.
By the sheer fact that I’m writing this, it’s fair to say we did pretty well. Once again, Virgin Media came out triumphant wining the most sought after award of the night for the second year running –Best Broadband Provider.
Our top prize is based on customer votes and consumer data from uSwitch.com and we’d like to think there were plenty of reasons why we came out top. The fact that over the last 12 months we finished doubling customer speeds and introduced our New Super Hub whilst maintaining our dedication to service have meant that we've been the industry standard setters.
The power of our network still shone through again as we held on to our crown as the king of speed taking home the Fastest Broadband award for a third year running – outpacing the competition according to millions of tests conducted using uSwitch.com’s StreetStats tool.
At the beginning of the year in which we’ll be turning up the speed dial again to a whopping 152Mbps headline speed, doubling the speed of BT’s fastest service, you can rest assured we've got no plans to slow up any time soon!
While it’s great to have the power of our network recognised, being voted Best Customer Rated Broadband gets to the core of our business – our customers. Customer service is our top priority and knowing our customers gave us more ‘Good’ and ‘Excellent’ than our competitors is music to our ears.
