Southampton fans to be given VIP treatment for Liverpool match courtesy of Virgin Media

  • Saints fans urged to get to St Mary’s early for first home game of the season against Liverpool on Saturday scoop up free ice cream
  • Five lucky fans that get a golden ticket with their ice cream will be invited to watch the game in style in Virgin Media’s hospitality box
  • Fans can meet and play FIFA 19 with Southampton legend Francis Benali outside the ground before the match in Virgin Media’s ‘Super Saints Mobile’
  • Virgin Media has also released its ‘Super Saints’ manifesto film which celebrates Southampton’s diverse range of supporters 
     

Saints fans are in for a treat when they arrive at St Mary’s for their first home game of the season against Liverpool on Saturday as main club sponsor, Virgin Media, will be rewarding fans with a free ice cream – and possible VIP access to their hospitality box.

There will be four vans located outside the stadium, serving from 11am up until kick-off at 3pm. The generous offer is the latest from Virgin Media to help make Southampton supporters’ match-day experience all the more enjoyable (and that little bit sweeter).

Some fans might be able to have their matchday experience made even more unforgettable with five fans – and their lucky plus one – in with a chance of watching the game from the luxury of Virgin Media’s hospitality box.

Five golden tickets, wrapped around the ice cream cones, will be available on the day and will be given out randomly to fans when they pick up their ice cream before the match. In the box, they will have great views of the pitch and will enjoy free food and drinks.

On top of ice cream, Saints fans can meet and play FIFA 19 with Southampton legend Francis Benali outside the ground. He will be positioned alongside Virgin Media’s ‘Super Saints Mobile’ which is kitted out with a gaming console, HD TV and comfy seating. 

Virgin Media has also produced a short ‘Super Saints’ manifesto film that highlights and celebrates the diverse ways in which Southampton fans get behind their team.
