Switched on Families is one of our sustainability programmes. It's been running since Feb 2014, successfully helping families get the best from the web.
Getting the best from the web is what Virgin Media is all about. Our job specifically is to facilitate a better connection for our customers, which, in turn, allows them to do more, have more fun, and be better online.
Switched on Families has been welcomed by the Department for Culture Media and Sport (DCMS), the Department for Education, and No 10., for inspiring confidence in parents and guardians; encouraging them to embrace the benefits of the web and not necessarily to view it as a risk.
We’re also a founding member, along with BT, Sky, and TalkTalk, of Internet Matters – an independent, not-for-profit organisation designed to help parents keep their children safe online.
