Voom 2016: 1 week left to pitch

Voom 2016 was launched by Virgin Media Business on 22 March and there’s only one week left to submit your pitch before applications close on 10 May. This is the UK and Ireland's biggest and most valuable pitch competition, so don’t miss out on this great opportunity.

Here’s the low down on #Voom:

Voom 2016 is your opportunity to pitch to Richard Branson to win a share of £1 million (€1.2 million) in prizes. Plus, a whole raft of money-can’t-buy opportunities.

Over 14 weeks, the competition will include a huge public vote, a 29-hour Pitchathon and a series of competitive face-to-face workshops. Plus, of course, a big finale featuring Richard.

There are two categories to apply to: 1) Start-up, for businesses in the very first stages of planning or have only just launched; and 2) Grow, for businesses that are looking to grow and are already established.

The competition also offers you the opportunity to run a crowdfunding campaign on top of your entry, so even if you don’t win you’ll walk away with a cash injection having raised a lot of awareness about your business.

What’s more, Virgin Media Business is recruiting 12 professionals to help us decide who gets to pitch to a distinguished judging panel including Richard Branson. So, if you don’t have a business idea to apply with you can take the opportunity to get involved as a professional expert.
